Delete Your VAE Account

This page explains how to delete your VAE account and what happens to your information when you do. It applies to VAE accounts for Audience Members, Entertainers, and Venue Owners.

Delete your account in the VAE app

The primary way to delete your account is inside the VAE app:

  1. Sign in to the VAE app.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Privacy & Security.
  4. Select Delete Account.
  5. Review and complete any requirements shown on screen.
  6. Confirm the deletion request.

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Retained information does not restore the deleted account or provide continued access to the Platform.

Requirements that may need to be resolved first

To protect existing obligations and records, some account activity may need to be completed or resolved before a deletion request can proceed. When that applies, the app will tell you what still needs attention. This may include:

  • active or upcoming bookings;
  • outstanding invoices or payment obligations;
  • funds still available for withdrawal;
  • a payment, payout, or refund that is still processing;
  • an open dispute or account review; and
  • other applicable legal, financial, safety, moderation, or retention holds.

Resolving these items preserves existing obligations and the records VAE is required or permitted to keep. It does not authorize unrelated continued use of the marketplace while your account is being closed.

If you can't access the app

If you are unable to sign in or complete deletion in the app, you can use the Privacy Requests route or contact VAE Support:

VAE may verify the identity of the person submitting a request and may use the email address associated with the account to communicate about it. Additional information is available in VAE's Privacy Rights & Data Requests Policy.

What happens to your information

When your account is deleted, account information is removed or de-identified in accordance with VAE's Privacy Policy.

Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary or required for purposes such as:

  • completed financial transactions and payment records;
  • fraud prevention and security;
  • tax and accounting obligations;
  • disputes and legal claims;
  • safety and moderation matters; and
  • compliance with other legal or regulatory obligations.

Closing or deleting an account does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of every record associated with it. Where records are retained, access is restricted, and a non-identifying placeholder may remain where needed to keep associated records intact. See the Data Retention and Account Deletion and Privacy Requests sections of the Privacy Policy for details.
