VAE Privacy Rights & Data Requests Policy

Effective Date: August 25, 2026
Last Updated: September 6, 2026

VAE respects users' rights regarding their personal information and provides methods for requesting access, correction, or deletion of personal data, subject to applicable law.

Data Requests

Depending on applicable law, users may have the right to request that VAE:

provide information about personal data collected or maintained about them;

provide access to certain personal information;

correct inaccurate personal information;

delete eligible personal information; or

provide additional privacy choices required by law.

Verification of Requests

VAE may take reasonable steps to verify the identity of a person making a request before providing, correcting, or deleting personal information.

Information VAE May Retain

Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary or legally required, including information needed for fraud prevention, security, payment records, disputes, legal obligations, or the establishment or defense of legal claims.

After an account is closed, VAE may also retain limited contact information—such as a name, email address, phone number, and address—and payment-processor reference identifiers where reasonably necessary or legally required. Access to this information is restricted, and it is not used to restore a closed account.

Deleting certain information may require VAE to deactivate or close the associated account where the information is necessary to operate that account.

California Privacy Rights

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, where those laws apply to VAE.

These rights may include the right to:

know what categories and specific pieces of personal information VAE has collected;

request deletion of eligible personal information;

request correction of inaccurate personal information;

opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, where applicable; and

exercise applicable privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.

VAE will process verified privacy requests within the timeframes required by applicable law. California law generally requires covered businesses to respond to certain consumer requests within 45 days, subject to permitted extensions.

VAE does not require users to waive their privacy rights as a condition of submitting a request.

Submitting a Request

Users may submit privacy or data requests through the privacy or support methods provided by VAE, including by contacting VAE Support. Users may also submit a request directly in the VAE app through Settings → Privacy Requests.

VAE may use the email address associated with the account to communicate about a request and may provide a reference number for tracking. Submitting a request in the app does not by itself generate an automatic or self-service downloadable copy of personal information; requests are reviewed and fulfilled through VAE's privacy and Support process.

VAE may request additional information when reasonably necessary to verify the request or determine whether an exception applies.

This policy supplements VAE's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service and may be updated from time to time.
