Common Questions
At VAE, we use the term “Audience” to describe customers who use the platform to discover and book Entertainers, venues, and live entertainment experiences. Whether you’re planning a birthday, private party, wedding, corporate event, or special occasion, the Audience side of VAE is designed to help you find and manage the right entertainment or venue.
With an Audience account, you can:
- Search for local Entertainers and venues
- Compare profiles, pricing, availability, and reviews
- Book entertainment or venue rentals
- Message Entertainers and Venue Owners directly
- Manage bookings, invoices, and payments
- Leave ratings and reviews after completed bookings
- View your booking and transaction history
VAE is a growing marketplace expanding across the United States. Availability may vary by location as new Entertainers and Venue Owners continue joining the platform.
We’re growing every day, so if you don’t see many options in your area yet, check back soon as the VAE community continues to expand nationally.
VAE is designed to keep your personal contact information private. Entertainers and Venue Owners do not need your personal phone number, email address, or social media accounts to communicate with you through the platform.
Booking-related communication should take place through VAE’s chat messenger whenever possible.
Your location or address information may be shared when necessary to complete a booking, such as providing the location of an event. VAE does not aim to make private contact or identity information publicly visible.
Your name will be displayed publicly as your first name and last initial. If you’re booking on behalf of a company or business, you also have the option to enter the business name and have that displayed instead of your name.
For your security and privacy, avoid sharing personal contact information unless it is reasonably necessary for the booking.
After a booking is confirmed, review the booking details and use VAE’s chat messenger to connect with the Entertainer or Venue Owner.
For all bookings, it is important to:
- Review the booking date, time, location, pricing, and general details
- Use the chat messenger to discuss any important event or venue requirements
- Ask any remaining questions before the scheduled booking
- Make sure any changes to the booking are agreed upon by both parties
- Review any invoices or payment updates associated with the booking
Keeping all booking-related communication organized through VAE helps both sides stay on the same page before and after an event.
Any equipment or supplies provided by an Entertainer or Venue Owner will be listed on their VAE profile and, where applicable, in the booking description.
Review these details before confirming a booking so you know what is included and whether you’ll need to provide anything additional.
Entertainers and Venue Owners set their own pricing on VAE. Depending on the listing, pricing may be offered as either an hourly rate or a flat rate for the booking.
VAE also charges Audience members a 3% processing fee when booking an Entertainer or renting a venue.
You’ll be able to review the applicable rate, processing fee, and booking details before confirming. Any additional approved charges or expenses, where applicable, will also be shown through VAE.
VAE has a 30-minute minimum for hourly bookings.
After that, additional time is billed according to the applicable rate and invoicing terms shown in the booking.

You can book an Entertainer or rent a venue based on the availability they have posted on VAE.
There is no fixed advance-booking limit; available dates will depend on the Entertainer or Venue Owner.
Yes. Same-day bookings are available when an Entertainer or Venue Owner has availability that day.
Use VAE’s date filters to search for options available today.
If the booking has not yet been accepted, remove it and submit a new booking with the correct address.
If the booking has already been accepted, notify the other user through VAE’s chat messenger as soon as possible so the correct location can be confirmed and any last-minute confusion or cancellations can be avoided.
Your booking post will automatically pull in relevant preferences from your account, such as the Entertainer type, applicable genres, and rate information.
You’ll also have an Event Summary text box where you can add additional details about your event, expectations, special requests, or anything else that may help Entertainers understand the booking before applying.
Your public location on VAE only displays your city and state. Your full booking address stays private and is only shared with the other party once the booking has been accepted by both sides.
Approved booking-related expenses will be included in the invoice submitted by the Entertainer or Venue Owner.
VAE does not set a fixed reimbursement cap. Any expense should be directly related to the booking and agreed upon before it is incurred.
Users can share photos or copies of receipts and other expense documentation directly through VAE’s chat messenger. Audience members are encouraged to request supporting receipts when reviewing reimbursable expenses.
Review all expense details and supporting documentation before approving the invoice.
Sales tax may apply to certain VAE transactions depending on the booking location and applicable state or local tax laws.
When required, any applicable tax will be shown as part of the booking or payment total before you complete the transaction.
If an invoice looks incorrect, contact VAE Support at support@vaemediasolutions.com and include the booking details and a brief explanation of what appears incorrect.
If property damage, theft, injury, or another safety incident occurs during a VAE booking, prioritize your safety and document what happened. If there is an immediate danger, serious injury, suspected criminal activity, or another emergency, contact local emergency services or law enforcement as appropriate.
VAE does not provide insurance coverage for bookings unless expressly stated otherwise. Entertainers, Venue Owners, and other users are responsible for maintaining any insurance, licenses, permits, or coverage required for their activities or property.
You may report an incident to VAE Support at support@vaemediasolutions.com. VAE may review relevant booking details, messages, photos, receipts, or other supporting information.
Reporting an incident to VAE is not an insurance claim and does not guarantee reimbursement or payment.
